Do you make your own Sauerkraut?   Its on my list of things I want to try doing.

It's on my to-do list too.
Actually, I grew up with sauerkraut and it tasted absolutely disgusting. Just recently I tried a health food brand and I was amazed how delicious it tasted. So it's part of my menu, now. Such a different taste than what I remember.

She has a whole "selling things" going along which I can take or leave... with some great recipes for Water Kiefer and how tos for fermenting stuff like Sauerkrout. I think it goes hand in hand with healthy lifestyles and extracting nutrition out of your food. i was investigating Paleo Dietary strategys when i stumbled on this site.

And I sure like fish and seafood and would eat it 9 out of ten times if I werent cooking for my Grandma... shes 98 and would eat beans in every meal... things meat and potatoes are "real food".... LOL. Hey she did something right getting this far.

Perchie - that's real food Beef(bloody steak) and potatoes (baked) - love it!!!

LOL.... I am thinking of doing a standing rib for Christmas (prime ribs cheaper cousin) There is nothing wrong with beef or red meat for that matter.... I have some lambchops in the freezer I cant wait to cook up but I am the ONLY One in this house that will do Lamb.

try this for your potatoes.... Nuke some finger or baby Yukon Golds in the microwave till they are just done. Then smash em with a coffe cup or bowl till they are about half an inch thick. Then saute in a pan with Olive oil butter combo... Toss in some diced garlic and what ever other herbs you like.... Carmelize them on the bottom then flip them over (you don't have to be perfect) and caramelize them on the other side. When you serve serve crumbly bits too and top with a dollop of sour cream....

I plan to do the Other package of Turkey dressing too just to use it up....

For what its worth standing rib roast is just ribeye steaks separated from their bone and tied back up for cooking.... the Bones are to die for with a little homemade barbeque sauce....

I never got the egg versus chicken dilemma. It's very simple, if you believe in evolution. I would say that the egg came first. At some point there were two specific birds, a mother and it's offspring. The mother had not yet evolved into a chicken, while it's offspring had reached that crucial point in evolution when it was considered a chicken. This chicken came from an egg, and the egg was there before the chicken. Very simple.

My wife makes Milk Kiefer and Kambucha tea. She does a little of the food fermenting. I don't mind Sauerkraut, it just doesn't agree with me.
