Lordy, I put a roof over my daughter's head 15 years ago so the kids could get through high school. Last one graduates in June. I can count on one hand the number of times my daughter has paid her rent to me in that time. I can't count on a calculator the amount of money I have lost. But, I got the girls through school and they will all have to take care of themselves very soon. The Bank of Mary has just closed its doors, except to Mary! I am too old to be homeless. I get cold easily.

Well now I wouldn't say lost. Invested perhaps. Ours are paying rent and they are helpful just not diligent. I don't know what this past generation did to have raised such incapable offspring. To many of us with our grandchildren.

I figure to do the best I can until the good lord takes me home. It's really His help that will keep me sane. I keep praying for wisdom to make the right choices.

Kind of funny about the Free love generations not realizing there are dividends to pay or something like that.

Best way to make people feel at home in your house, get out the bowls of ice cream. While they battle 'brain freeze," have them sign a contract on the house. Nuthin' to it!!

Yikes, just got a lowball offer on the house. Told them to stop wasting my time. I vacuumed for these people at 7:00 a.m.!

Only crazy people vacuum at 7AM.

The potential buyers were coming to see the house at 9:00. Had to vacuum, dust, hide the dog toys, clean the stainless steel appliances, sweep and mop floors, dust the baseboards and staircase woodwork, empty the dishwasher, fluff the pillows, etc, etc, etc.

Then they insult us with a below-low-ball offer! Argh.

The pile was about 20X25 at the base and stacked 8 feet high. It's all gone now. Nothing left. It burned perfectly and it is nice and wet out, so no worries about it getting out of control.
