I will do all the finishing touches myself! I am really happy how it came out. Needs ventilation down by the floor but I can do that. I want to put a skirt across the front to keep the chickens from going un and build a small step; I bought vinyl floor and I will install that tomorrow morning when it is cool out. Then it will flatten out nicely in the heat of the day. Waiting for a call from a fence guy. Can't wait to get my girls home!

Is the window backed by hardware cloth? I mean this guy is good but, he's not a chicken guy is he? So you don't think you could have a little shelter and a fainting goat or two ??? And maybe a nice gate to get their head stuck in. Kelly knows how to get them loose.

He does build coops but I didn't want a coop like he builds. I hate the nest boxes you access from outside. Mine have always leaked and gotten nasty. I chose a small shed with extra ventilation which I will turn into a coop. I plan to cover the windows with hardware cloth.

Yuck Dar! Sorry about the fast. I eat a couple oysters in your honor!

My neighbors complain that the fence encroaches on the dirt road easement by two inches (two posts only) hence the lawsuit! She doesn't even own the land the dirt road is on, is just one of five people who have easements. Surveyor says we are ok but we will have to defend in court. She has sued or currently has a suit against everyone in the neighborhood so I was expecting it.

As a former Land Survey crew chief, I'm curious how this worked out. Without sifting through 20k+ posts.

We moved the posts and sold the house. I still check the obituaries once a week hoping to see her name, except that I would feel sorry for all the people in hell having to deal with her. But, I'm not bitter.

Wow. Sorry to hear that it ended up like that. Not sure I would be willing to put up with a neighbor like that. My wife would likely make me move before I ended up in jail lol.
