I wouldn't say Tucker and kitty are friends. Notice how Tucker is watching from a distance - he instinctively knows cats want to scratch your eyes out. Notice also how the cat is laying there like it's his porch. Well he probably has been there when the other people owned the house, and I bet it has pooped all over any flower beds.

Would this happen to be the cat owned by the "friendly" neighbor ?

Yes, and they were friends with the previous residents. I think that is why he is comfortable visiting. After a while Tucker got more comfortable and they wandered all over together.

Flower beds? We have flower beds? Silly woman, this is California!

Mary I'm sorry but I don't trust cats, he is probably leading Tucker into a cat infested trap. Just remember I told you so. Dog spelled backwards is God. Cat spelled backwards is Tac. See what I mean

I am not a cat fan either. Never have been. I was relieved when the buyers of the last house wanted the feral cat. I didn't know what to do with it. Too early to cause a stir. This is his (her) first visit and hopefully it won't be making regular appearances.

We took the broken down railings off the deck to replace them with cable. Wouldn't you know it, AAA sends someone out today to take pictures of the house! He said he would note that it was in the process of being repaired. Good grief.

Tomorrow morning I am going to the local Farmer's Market with my sister and my Dad. My mom isn't going because she has mobility issues. I am actually looking forward to it. This is a first sort of for us. I haven't seen my sister since the anniversary party for my parents a couple of years ago. She has moved back to town, well Kelly's town, not mine! Well see how it goes. I had to get a carwash and vacuum since I am driving. We were sort of living out of my car while showing the house, so it looked pretty bad. I like having it back to clean and pretty.

I am hoping to find some nice veggies and fruits and maybe some fresh fish. I love the Farmer's Market.

AAA are the scoundrels that came by our house and saw the front stoop and short sidewalk were cracked and uneven. They would not have noticed if we had the seasonal snow that didn't show up. They gave us 90 days to have it repaired/replaced or they would cancel the homeowners insurance. You can't pour concrete in our brutal winters that sometimes last thru May.

The places we called said that couldn't come out till June. They kept threatening. Finally they relented and said if we showed them an estimate they would hold off till June. When we had it repaired and sent photos of the finished work, they still threatened to dump us since it wasn't completed in time. After major bouts of posturing, they accepted that the work had started before the deadline. THEN they sent us a notice that the premium was being doubled.

Good bye AAA.%$@#$&%

We had not had a claim on the house since before my mom died 19 years ago. BTW no one uses our front door or stoop or sidewalk and haven't in the 45.5 years of living here. The driveway comes up to our side door and everyone comes in that way, and walks up or down the driveway.

Bless you, the building dept. here is the same way. We built a deck and porch. We had to get a permit seperately for the holes we were going to dig and put the concrete in for the beams. WHAT! They were just a foot or so wide and two ft. deep each. We had to have a plan where the dirt was going when we dug it out????? Crazy. I could understand if we were going to move it in a truck and not just put it on the soil next to the holes. But really all these depts. carry it W - A -Y to far.
