Now it looks like a blank slate ready for the Mary touch!

Today we should see new lighting in the kitchen, cabinet refacing begin, and the major work needed to mud the sheetrock wall damaged by the paneling.

I can handle snakes, I can handle frogs, I can handle lizards...............but I hate spiders, especially black widows.  They give me the heebie jeebies.  I have had a black widow climb up my bare leg (I was doing laundry).  Thankfully with a stomp of my foot, it fell off my leg and I wasn't bitten.  We live in prime black widow country, and they get HUGE!  They are fast buggers too.  I went at one in the bottom of a Tonka truck with a stick, and I was "where did it go?"  The sucker ran up the stick and was right next to my hand.  Spider spray doesn't kill them, but it makes them sick enough to fall out of their webs so you can then squish them.

Ron forgot to mention that they make parachutes out of their web and float away. :hide

I don't like spiders ether! But, I do like reptiles and frogs, did you know that there is a lizard called a baslik that can walk on water?

Today demolition started with me. I went into the house this morning alone to shower and change. On my way back to the motorhome I caught the tip of my flipflop on the edge of the sheetrock of the step down into the living room. I took a bad fall down onto the concrete. The step down is only about 18 inches but the step is gone. I hit on my side. I hurt my hip, elbow, two toes, ankle, and have a big sore spot on my head. I couldn't get back up by myself (just like in the commercial) so I laid there until I could scoot over the the step to pull myself up. I managed to get back to the motorhome but couldn't open the door. I banged on Michael's window and woke him up to help me. I am better tonight, just very sore with some bruises and abrasions. Not sure if I was knocked out by the hit on the head or not. Anyway, I will be fine. I need to stop wearing flip flops in the construction zone.

Today the demo continued with all the paneling finally coming down.

The fridge/freezer space was enlarged.

Old fluorescent light fixture area framed back in. Recessed LED's going in tomorrow. Lots of electrical work done today. Cabinet doors and drawers were removed and taken to the ReStore.

New refrigerator and freezer arrived to replace the ones with the pitted doors.

Good day, except for the fall! Tomorrow the whole crew will be here for mudding. They will also be cutting a huge hole in the kitchen floor to facilitate leveling the floor so the laminate can be laid later. They can just crawl in and out the hole in the kitchen floor to jack up areas that need it. Water line for the ice make and gas line for the cooktop will also be installed under the house.

Hates demolition.

Going back to bed.
