No eggs here yet! That Marans egg is gorgeous. I am going to have a pretty basket of eggs when Everyone starts laying so ai can wait. Maybe.
Backsplash went in to day and will be grouted tomorrow. I chose a small honed marble mosaic tile. I have to go buy grout early before Johnny gets here. I slacked off on my purchasing homework tonight.
I finished two of the four chairs today and they came out two different colors! I hVe no idea why except that I applied the dark wax to one on full sun and the other in the garage. I went back over the lighter one with more wax today but they are still slightly different. Oh well, they are vintage. I just hope the last two match one of the first two! I also removed the chicken fabric from the seats and replaced it with a polka dot linen. I like the look and so does Michael. I'll get pictures tomorrow.
I also decided to repaint the farm table we bought on Saturday. It is a distressed white but no disrespect to the seller, the paint job isn't that good. It was distressed with a sander and dry brush overlay paint and it looks artificially shabby. I like to distress pieces in places where they would normally show wear, instead of an overall pattern. I like that look. So I am going to tackle the table once we are in and settled. maybe after I unpack the 143 boxes in the garage. BTW, that number is real, not a joke. Another purge ahead!
Johnny still pans to be done and out of the house on Friday. I hope nothing else pops up because, as you know, I am so ready! new pics tomorrow!
