Looks like the "big" storm we were expecting tomorrow with low snow levels has fizzled out a bit.

Not from what they were saying last night. They are still calling for low snow overnight tonight.

A big storm that fizzles out, is always GOOD NEWS

Not in CA. Our water levels are hideously low.

Taking one to my parents in the morning. They like a little sweet treat midmorning. Mom loves mincemeat. I do too.

It's too pretty to eat. I've never had mincemeat pie, it just never sounded appealing.

The rain started in Woodland this morning.

Accuweather has snow in Grass valley and a bit up from Auburn on 80. No Snow in Placerville yet.

I plan on making my own mince this year to see how it tastes.

I used Crosse and Blackwell jarred mincemeat but not really fond of the spice levels. So, this morning I picked up two jars of Roberson brand and I am going to try that. Would love to play around with homemade, but mince is my Mom's favorite so I am sticking with what I know she likes. I took a pie over to them this morning.
