Yep!  So much for my fruit tree blossoms.  Hopefully we'll get some nice snow in the mountains.  We got some really heavy downpours yesterday.

Ditto. My poor old, never taken care of, fruit trees are losing their blossoms really fast. My two pear trees sit side by side and they both had fruit when we bought the house last summer. This year only one bloomed and the other didn't bloom at all and went straight to new leaves. Guess it won't have any fruit this year. But the thing is, any fruit I get off my trees will be more than I would have gotten had we not moved!

My plum tree and the peach tree bloomed when it was sunny and warm so they likely have been pollinated. It is a bit early for the fungal rot to set in but it could happen in April with all of the rain predicted then.

There is a downside to the rain but the upside is great with it!

Heritage fruit trees often are not as steady bloomers as some of the more modern, but not nescessarily tastier, fruit trees. A good old fashioned tree may not produce as much, but can be a real treasure taste wise.

Stormy, windy, rainy, cold = homemade clam chowder for dinner!
