Stella's Social Club

Beautiful view Mike!  Driving is, well, interesting.  Most of the time he does great.  But every once in a while I still have to grab the steering wheel.  He is fine to and from school, freeway and traffic driving is where he needs more practice.  There is no screwing off in CA traffic!

Mary, what did you cook for St. Patrick's Day?  I did a brisket, but nothing fancy otherwise.  I'm thinking of making Irish Soda Bread tomorrow. (even though my youngest has been asking for hamburgers)  You are too busy with furniture to talk to me......I tried to call you a couple of times this morning.:(

I got out in my workshop before 7:00 this morning and painted a desk and chair. Then I drove to Folsom and picked up a corner cabinet to refinish. I bought the cabinet from Woody who you might know from Safeway. He likes to chat so I was at his house too long. Then I had an appointment in Fair Oaks to look at a space in a shop to sell my stuff. Then I went to visit a shop in Roseville where I stayed too long. Then I headed home and made a wrong turn and went down Pleasant Grove so I had to head to 80 via 65. Took me over an hour to get to the Hwy65 to I80 exit and another hour to get from 65 and 80 to Horseshoe Bar Rd! There was freeway work going on and most of the time we never moved, Just when we would move, the left lane would end and we would have to move right. Then the right was closed and we'd have to merge back to the left. Over and over and over and over. I was in Michael's car and my back starting hurting really bad. I thought I was going to lose my mind! Finally got home and put the clear coat on the desk and chair, cooked a corned beef and didn't get to eat until 8:00 p.m. Watched American Idol and crashed in bed.

Talk tomorrow? :/

Yes, thank you for that!

ROFL. Yes they HOLD IT if possible while in the hive. When weather is bad for a long stretch and then clears they go on "cleansing flights" so they don't defecate in the hive!
And they had already started brooding up, so I had added a pollen patty for food for the brood they were raising. I didn't want them to lose the brood if they ran out of pollen stores while the storm was happening. (and I knew I wasn't going to be able to get in there for quite a while)

I also reversed the boxes on my main hive. The top one was about 3/4 full and the bottom one was completely empty. I know they will be increasing in population fast, and didn't want to risk an early swarm, so I reversed the boxes.

Poor bees after 10 days anyone would explode - they sure are well housebroken but, couldn't they fly farther away first.
There was more in the leaf litter, but it's hard to see brown against brown leaves.

Just finished the second coat of clear. Sold in one minute on FB. Priced way too low, but I need to move stuff out! Have people coming tomorrow to look at furniture too.
