He didn't just look at me, he looked at me, then the floor, then me, then the floor. Finally, he realized that if he wanted it, he was going to have to jump down and get it himself. I was in my rocker, snuggled up with a blanket and my iPad, and he was out of luck!

I just got home from my first ever Estate Sale. I may have gone to one 40+ years ago, but I can't really remember. I think it was just a moving sale.

Anyway, I bought a pair of nightstands, a cane back chair, a wall shelf, and a rusty cabinet! I felt like Mike on American Pickers! Michael can be Frank if he is ever out of bed early enough for an Estate Sale!

The nightstands are going to be for Michael. We are doing some furniture shifting and he will need some. I will do a paint job on them. The wall shelf I plan to paint and decoupage (yes, it is back in vogue). I am going to paint the cane back chair and reupholster the seat. The rusty cabinet is going to be transformed into a locked wine cabinet! Now I feel like Lara Spencer on Flea Market Flip!

Better get to work!

NATIONAL CHOCOLATE COVERED RAISIN DAY – MARCH 24

Oh, hell no! I did not just see this. Ack. I have chocolate and raisins and I love chocolate covered raisins, even the kind that leave a nasty waxy coating on the roof of your mouth. Doomed. Wish it was chocolate covered fennel day!

I LOVE estate sales, can not resist them, fortunately they are few up here or I would be sunk with other people's stuff.

We are in the middle of a winter storm, gale force winds off the lake from the east, and snowing to beat the band. The UPS driver got stuck in the road in front of the office, then one of the staff got stuck getting out from behind - I stayed behind to see if anyone needed a push. Birds are flocking to my feeders, and the wind chimes are sounding constantly, sounds like church bells. Have to go out in a few hours and clean the driveway, thank goodness for big tractors.
