WEEK 12 Artistic: Transportation

Stella and Goldy are getting lots of Facebook love as the models for my submission this week, titled:

Oops, heading out to the garage to snap a picture of our roadside pickup! BRB!

This pic shows the pair of $30 nightstands. I painted the first one yesterday. Ran out of the dark color paint so I will have to get more before finishing.

In the very back is the fab green metal cabinet that I hope to repurpose into a wine bar.

Then there's the oak table that we picked up alongside the road! It needs a glue repair to the base. Right now it is being held together with electrical tape! We had the refrigerator repair guy out yesterday. He really liked all my painted furniture pieces. As he was driving to his next stop just down the road from us, he saw the table with a"free" sign. He called us, then waited there to help us load it in the Jeep! It wouldn't fit, so Michael sat in the back seat and held it while I drove back home (just around the corner) with half a table hanging out the back of the car!

The table has a great mechanical butterfly leaf which stows under the table when not in use.


And here is the great cane back chair I bought for $45 at the estate sale. Can't wait to re-do this one!

Sad note after the photo shoot with the chickens yesterday. Judy and Stella are both showing their age. Jude's neck and comb are so dark and dusky. She and Stella are moving slowly these days and hunkering down in the sun when they can. What really stood out yesterday was that they let the younger girls have treats without much pecking or chasing.
