This is serious with Mary! Hurts more than waiting for a date to call back. We have supported Mary thru the Tucker trials, new houses, selling old houses, goats, pigs, many other things that didn't work out, food photographs -with or without kale (

), new cameras, fights with neighbors, Mary's store etc. to infinity. Plus all pitching in to keep this thread alive.

Mary does tell us this is all our thread, not just hers. But she does have such a particular talent for sharing her stories, much missed. Hope the new store is going well.

The point IS that Mary was THIS thread.! Her ups and downs and adventures drew and kept the audience coming back. This has happened on other threads I've been subscribed to for years (Derperella the weird, et al). and gradually the OP got very busy with other pursuits and has just about abandoned it. I check back now and then, the supporters do their best to keep it alive but, without the main character(Derp) it's barely continuing.

Sometimes ops drop out and the thread has been able to continue and flourish because everything was NOT dependent on the starter.

The water goes to the other side of the Sacramento river from me so we are ok in Woodland for now. We would have problems if some of the levies from Sacramento failed but the real danger is Cache Creek--which catches the flow from Clear Lake. Currently Clear lake is being brought down to make room for next weeks storm.

We used to be in the 100 year flood plain from Cache Creek but have been removed from it now.

I hope all of the levies and Dams hold! This is the most rain in 100 years for California.
