I think my broody will die before I get her chicks.

I called 6 feed stores for chicks and none of them have chicks less than 2 weeks old.

It said you could substitute beef broth for the wine, though I think the wine contributed to the tenderness.

My DH is the pickiest eater alive. He won't eat tomatoes or any other fruit. Tomato sauce is fine, but he doesn't like chunks. I can get away with it if I dice them SUPER small, but he'll still pick around them. Pork recipes with apricot or other fruits - forget it. I can get away with wine, I just don't tell him and he doesn't know the difference. There are so many recipes out there I want to try, but can't because of his picky-ness. He doesn't like squash either - complains when I make ANY winter squash. He deals with summer squash because the kids and I love it, so I don't give him a choice.

It's been a crappy day.

Have to have my DH cull a young barnevelder cockerel that injured his leg. (he was at the spunky I want to breed age) It's been over 3 weeks and he went from limping to not able to stand at all despite my best efforts to heal his leg. (I still can't figure out where the injury is, but I can feel "heat" in that leg) Then I found out that all my bees died and I have no idea why. They had honey storage, so they didn't starve. I did everything you are "supposed" to do and they died anyway. Ugh.

In the summer when my kids have too much time on their hands and it's too hot outside to do anything... this was filmed the summer of 2010 but wasn't put together until last night... my son Eric is now in Mexico... living the dream.

If you've seen "Nacho Libre" with Jack Black, this is even more hillarious. If you haven't seen it, Netflix it or rent it... FUNNY
OMG, I had to watch it three times... This is so stinking funny. You got to love teens with time....thank you so much, i now have to go change my pants...I peed them!

Im am SO sorry on both accounts. My mom keeps Bee's, she has had good years and bad years. Now we have a man that does it for a living, keep them on the back of my property. He does the work and shares Honey with me.

Dar, Someone in Gilbert, AZ (don't remember the name but I did look to see where they were from) posted on the NYD Hatchalong thread, responding to you mentioning you had a broody and needed chicks. She said they were Ams from WhtMt. You should post on the AZ thread and ask who offered. I thought you might have seen it, but no way of finding it in all the posts there.

I'm sorry to hear that, Kelly. Any chance you use DE? I have read that DE kills bees and should not be anywhere around them.
