So today I started out at the office and washed all of the windows. We do a "deep cleaning" four times a year and so while my brother worried about the carpet cleaners for the inner office, I had a patient that OWES me come and help me with the windows. All of the windows on the East side are HUGE floor to ceiling windows so I was happy I had the help.

Came home, fixed a pepper, onion bacon & cheese omlet. YUM.

Took a NAP. It was AWESOME!

Spent about 3 hours cleaning out the coop and the two grow out pens. I was so happy to take a shower after that.

I've really got to start figuring out which of the polish are roos and which are pullets. I can tell that at least 6 of the 14 are roos, jury is out on the rest. Of my Icelandics, I know for certain that two are roos. A white one and a black one with mottling on the breast. Jury is still out on the others.
I have one pullet that is a Phylis clone and the other is an Ida look alike, only with a crest.

Ida has abandoned her brood and is laying again already. I'll bet she goes broody again shortly!
Blucy is doing a great job with her brood of three (one of the blue Ameraucanas died)

Also my Icelandic hen "Goldie" is going to pass, her comb turned light and she went down hill from there. All of the others in the big coop look just fine. I guess I need to worm and re-dust of the next two weeks.

#4 & #5 are camping in the COLD mountains tonight with their scout groups. The house almost seems empty with just #6 & #7.

Weather today was GORGEOUS! Highs are forecast at 77 degrees for the next five days. A welcome change from the extreme cold of last week. Iv'e got to get my winter garden planted tomorrow. I'll be putting in peppers, beans, peas, corn, cucumbers and squash.

Have a great Saturday my friends!!!

I wish my dentist would let me pay my bill by washing windows.

That would be a whole lot of windows!

I am relatively pain-free my friends! I have some soreness at the extraction site but that is easily controlled. The severe pain I have had for 2+ months has not returned! The oral surgeon explained the proximity of the wisdom tooth to the trigeminal nerve and how it can make all the teeth seem like they hurt on the affected side. It made sense. I am so hoping that it was all coming from the wisdom tooth. Then I can get more opinions of what I really need as far as restoration work.

Michael is going to the coast to watch the Mavericks surf tournament this weekend. He is leaving tomorrow morning. He is taking grandson Cameron and possible his daughter and son-in-law. I am staying home. He is towing the boat with the motorhome and will watch the tournament from the water. They are not allowing beach access this year since there were drownings last year due to rogue waves. I get too seasick to go out in the ocean in his boat so I am staying home. If I don't have pain I have a few projects in mind to work on.

WOO HOO - Mary is nearly pain free! I am so happy to hear that!

I am at work and sneaking a BYC peek.

I love the diaper idea for the emu kids. Guess what - I just happen to have a package of preemie diapers! hahaha

Mary that was GREAT, I just woke from a long nap (hibernation) to see MEwearing a catchers mask. Really cracked me up - but there are openings big enough for Loca to do more tooth damage.I guess I never paid that much attention to baseball. They probably need openings so they can spit.

While I was sleeping, I thought the rest of the emus would have hatched. Did I miss something? Just two so far. LOVE the emus in their diapers, who wouldn't snuggle with them. Aw
