Stella's Social Club

I'm sorry Dar. Your family has been through the wringer lately.

Hello everyone from Vegas. (Celebrating DH's birthday without the kiddos) We saw Carrot Top last night and I just about died from laughing so hard. I haven't laughed like that in a very long time.

This place is massive. I think we've only seen 1/4 of the hotel so far. My feet hurt from all the walking, but it's fun.

So my sister who is burying one of her quad grandbabies tomorrow, just found out her father in law died.

In other news... one more patient today and 10 tomorrow and I'm done for the week.

I'm so sorry for all your recent trials.

Prayers for your family, Dar.

I am home for a few minutes and then back to the hospital. I will be happy to get B and baby home. Right now it is awful. She is suffering in pain. She has a cough and it hurts so so bad. She actually popped out one of the staples. Poor girl. Major surgery, a cough, and she is breast feeding.

I hope to be back next week - so I can catch up and get back to some kinda normal around here.

Thanks for the kind thoughts and prayers. DS last appointment with the bone Dr. he was told he MUST keep his leg elevated and ICED. It's not easy. His girlfriend is here CONSTANTLY and really she is not helpful, but "a comfort?" to him.

I'm to the point I'm letting DW deal with it... he is behind on his homework but does a little here and there. Won't have an appointment with the Dr. again for another two weeks. They can't do surgery until the swelling has gone down.. His leg looked HORRIBLE when they took off the ER cast. Even the Dr. was surprised at how horrible it looked, but they said nothing about ice nor elevation when released from the ER and he was going to school!!!

Live and learn. I hope they don't have to break a semi-healed part when they do the surgery to put in the screws and tack the tendons back in place. He's got a long road ahead of him and has NO CLUE... of course I know nothing anymore and I'm retarded... amazing how my kids attitudes change once they hit 21....

I need to count my blessings... a friend on the AZ thread took his wife to the hospital today because she was feeling under the weather, they found stage 4 lung cancer that had spread to her brain. They had no clue and she doesn't have long.... and they still have a 14 year old daughter.

Dar, Our pastor went to the urgent care a week ago with some loss of mobility and forgetfulness. He was diagnosed with tumors in his brain, lungs, liver and kidney. Other than some forgetfulness, he had no symptoms at all. Now, one week later, he has lost total movement on his left side due to bleeding from tumors on the right side of the brain and no good option for treatments. They give him a few weeks. He is 59, his wife 54. It is a shock that is hard to describe. They do not have children. Please pray for his wife, Kim.

I am so sorry to hear about your Pastor! One of our pastors from our old church died last month after beating Pancreatic Cancer in the early 90s. That one has little or no symptoms either.

I will be praying for Kim and all too.

So many sad stories and missed life. It just goes to show that we need to live everyday as if it will be our last. I think I did that more after I was first diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. As the years have gone by, I have probably gone back to my old ways, taking life for granted. I am going to try to appreciate more and complain less.

Oh my. Dar- prayers for your family.

Cancer seems to be hitting lots of families lately. Last summer we lost my MIL, she was diagnosed with 3b (I think it was) and 4 most later she was gone. My BIL was diagnosed and they would not even tell them a stage, when they found it, it was already on both sides of his body, liver, lungs, and brain. He is still fighting, thank God. He was doing really badly, until my sister made him start "alternative therapy treatments."

I am sending prayers out for everyone. :hugs

I posted a very long (24 minute) video of the chick resuscitation on my blog yesterday. I'll post a link to it here but wouldn't blame a soul for not watching it. It might come in handy for someone searching how to save a chick so it will be here if needed. Both babies are running around like nothing ever happened.
