Stella's Social Club

Well we had two little bucklings this evening. Better pictures tomorrow. The bucket is warm molasses water, not dirty water.

Cant stand the cuteness!!! That's just not fair and shouldn't be allowed.

Well, dang, that was fast! They are adorable. Momma goat at the place I went had warm molasses water too. She sucked it down super fast - I was amazed at how quickly they can drink!

Trust me, I would have loved to take her. I want goats badly - just gotta work on the husband.
I want goats so dadgum bad! We have plenty of land and a barn to house them, I'm sure they'd be fine, and I am aware of how difficult they can be, and I am sure that I could handle them.

The poor thing was moved into a kidding pen last Wednesday as we noticed her plug coming out. Usually we have had the kids come within 72 hours after that. I think this was the first time I cleaned a kidding pen before the kidding.
It wasn't so fast from here, the poor thing has been in the kidding pen for nearly a week.

Ours aren't difficult at all. Our vets and people that have bought from us are surprised at how friendly and easy they are, even the bucks.

At least you have a barn. I don't even have that.

My dark eggs arrived today. Priority Mail took one week. This note was taped over the shipping label! Duh! I think that is why it never got scanned into the system once it left his local PO. Then I think it sat until someone ripped the note off and put it on the truck for delivery. The box was not a USPS Priority mail box so no one probably even knew it was Priority Mail. Dufus alert in TN!

ikes bummer Mary . Like I said you are welcome to some of mine. My crele are laying machines and will run circles around Marans plus like a legbar they are auto sex and make the coolest olive eggers with the legbars. Just use the hens so you know who is expressing the blue egg gene.
Kelly has goat envy, bigtime!

Me too I sure miss my goats

I chicknapped at Mary's house again. :D Came home with a Splash Isbar and an Icelandic. (please be pullets!) Then I went to get my milk and I got there right after one of her goats gave birth to triplets. I soooooooo want goats! This little one was so sweet, just fell asleep in my arms. Don't mind my gym attire/messy hair.
Great picture. So dang adorable!
