My grandmother has decided to give some of her jewelry away because she no longer wears it. She is splitting it up between me, my aunt and my cousin. She gave me this today. (the picture doesn't do it justice)

Thanks Kathy! I'm beyond honored and excited that she is choosing to give me some of her beautiful jewelry. She had a jeweler for a family friend in Australia that made most of her jewelry. My grandmother is Australian by birth and married my grandfather and came to the US on one of the bride ships in WWII. More than the jewelry, it has a history and it is a great reminder of my grandmother. It's part of her, so it means the world to me.

SO EXCITED THIS MORNING- I posted in December about the guy who was speeding down our street and took out a telephone pole, our fences, a tree, our flowerbed, and hit our house.... well many thanks to him, we are using the settlement from his insurance to put in a REAL DRIVEWAY- no more icky gravel for the kids to spread into the grass and throw, and no more ugly flagstones to trip up on our way up to the house!

You are most definitely in trouble now. I have 43 eggs in my bator right now. They will not all hatch, they will not all hatch, they will not all hatch..............

I love the Wellie egg. I've never owned a Wellsummer hen but I do have two New Years pullets so we'll have to see how they do come fall.

Absolutely gorgeous Kelly and nice memories. It's wonderful that she will be able to actually see people enjoy her gifts.
