I agree! My bit of French blood seems to have overpowered my Irish and German blood! I can't stand beer, ale, or the like, but wine....... .

.....does go well with anything.....or nothing!

I don't know where my weakness for Tequila comes from......

What will you do if they all hatch?

I have trouble figuring out what to do with 12 hatching at a time. 144 would overwhelm me...

Luckily most are already sold- I've got a waiting list on all my breeds except EEs- but it will be tight space for a few days! I have two brooder shelves in the garage, each can hold up to 60 chicks. I just have to make sure they are nearly empty when this batch comes due. I will keep most of the Isbars and some of the Cream Legbars, the rest will be sold within a week.

Here's what went in:

31 BBS Ameraucana
44 Black Copper Marans
29 Cream Legbar
28 Easter Eggers
12 Isbars

What's REALLY bad is I still have nearly 3 dozen eggs on the counter and sold one and a half dozen on Thursday, too...

Told my hubby he'd better be prepared to finally eat OUR OWN eggs instead of store eggs like I have been begging to for months!

Last weekend we went to see the Giant Sequoias . So magnificent however very sad as well and a reminder of Californias past.
The top picture is the tallest one standing in the park ( Calaveras big trees ) I think it was about 275 feet
The second one is holding on to life by a thread.
in the early 1900's they put a tunnel into it so people could walk through or drive a small car.
There is one branch left with foliage.

The third and saddest is the Mother of the Forest tree. This tree was the largest in any of the North two groves .
Calveras and Placer Groves.
stood 323 feet and have a 90 ft circumference . In the 1870's it had all its bark stripped to rebuild the tree in New York yes Rebuild it.
Ignorance and stupidity killed a treed that may of been close to 3000 years old.

I too am stuffed from corned beef and cabbage. I tried it in the oven this year. I will never boil a corned beef brisket again! Yummy!

I just finished uploading my pictures for the first week of my Food Photography for Bloggers class. I found some gorgeous mushrooms and used them for my assignment. We had to do the same subject but from different angles, with different lenses, lighting, etc. I crossed over to the darkside for this one. I'll probably hear about it in my critiques but it was fun for a change. Hope I don't get critiqued on my handwriting!

Pretty pictures Jason. I love the Big Trees.

It's going to be a long week... for those of you that pray. PLEASE pray for me... with my chair side in the hospital and my front office gal pregnant and wanting to quit, I'm between a rock and a hard place.... I'm booked solid for all but one hour (tomorrow) all the way through Saturday at noon and then we have company coming to stay the week of the 24th...friends from Colorado.

Oh Dar!

Do they have dental temps? Just wondering. I was never able to take advantage of nursing temps because there were never any qualified to perform dialysis treatments. I hope you get through this, that your assistant is ok, and that your pregnant front office person comes to her senses! You'll be in my prayers. I owe you that much!

Pics from today. The weather is divine!

Great pictures, Mary. Love that pretty new green grass, too!
I'm happy to see Tucker!

Thanks for the pictures and explanations. I would love to come there and see them, too!
