Stella's Social Club

Not a fARM - ya think? Nobody ever wants to help put sunscreen on my back either. Gee the guys did when I was young.

Geez Mary it's like "Les Miserable" the inspector won't stop hounding you.
I love too that they keep sending letters. Next they will show up with a Constable to give you another letter. Maybe Dawg the Bounty Hunter too, just to prove that they gave you a letter.

Sounds like harassment with no real legal action behind it.

And their attorney must be crazy too
Actually we learned that attorneys don't much seem to care if their client is right or not, just happy as long as they get paid.....

When we were sued last year over the property line dispute, they had nothing to go on, no legal basis, no traditional basis, nothing... their attorney kept writing letters, "talking" to our attorney and BILLING BILLING BILLING!! when it was all finalized.. They still had to pay us, and we estimated about 10k to their attorney.... and got exactly what we had offered to sell them in the first place for 3k... of course we had to pay our attorney too so we lost money too...

no offense to any chicken owning lawyers out there (I'm sure the chicken owning mitigates the attorney stigma!!) but I don't have a very high opinion of attorneys any more...

HI guys. Just wanted to tell you that the struggle is not over. I just received a copy of a letter from the rescue's attorney demanding again the return of Tucker by the end of the week. It contains their version of the events and most of it is false. I do not understand why they are doing this. It really isn't about what is best for the dog, it is about egos. Tucker is so happy here and he is loved beyond measure. We are kind people who would never hurt or neglect any animal, especially little Tucker. They need to stop this and move on to all the other animals who need good homes. Tucker has one.

I'm sorry Mary. I think you have a really strong case though that it's been a couple of weeks before they sent you the notice. If they were "really" concerned about his welfare, they would have acted right away. What does your attorney say? Stay strong.
