Stella's Social Club

Kathy what kind of mushroom is that white umbrella type? Is it poisonous? The driver on the senior bus was so excited about seeing one, like that, on someone's lawn, she drove us around it 3 x
to make sure we all got a glimpse.

What ever happened with that HUGE puff ball mushroom you found awhile back.? Was that edible.?

Very nice pics!! The one you posted of the SLW hen and chicks is fabulous!

That Barred Rock Rooster has a serious case of stink eye!

No, we did not end up eating the other one. Though, it was edible and supposed to be very tasty.

OMG! i just got caught up. Such cute pictures everyone. Cute kids and cute chicks. Just love them.

Sorry I have been MIA for a few days. Lots of stuff going on here. I was supposed to ship three orders of eggs today and couldn't get to the post office due to a vet emergency with Jack. He has a foot abscess and has been struggling for several days. I am out with him quite a bit all day. We finally got a vet out today and he diagnosed the abscess in the foot. He believes it will open and drain in the next couple of days. Poor baby has been unable to walk more than a couple of steps. He leans on me to do that. Diana even lets him rest his head on her butt between steps. They are the sweetest things together. I have very little faith in my vet though because, as he was leaving, he took a look at Diana and said, "She's not that fat." Come on, is he blind? She's a pig.

Anyway if HughesNet lets me get online I'll try to check in more often. I am not getting emails subscription notices.

Love to all!

Mary and Stella

p.s. I was backing the car out of the garage today and had to wait for Stella to saunter across the driveway. I am surprised I didn' t run over her!

I took the one (viable) egg that the Silver Laced Wyandotte had left.
I gave it to Miss Pain-In-The-You-Know-What Broody Ameraucana (she is ALWAYS broody). She hatched it this morning.
