I have been up all night. Just can't sleep. I talked to Brittney's nurse last night. She said B also has a broken rib, along with the compression fracture of T11. She is taking some anti-seizure medication, and has not had another seizure since the one when she first got there. The neuro surgeon is coming today.

Brock is still in the hospital.
Kayson is constipated.
I'm..... fine. Yes, I am. I am fine.

AND, guess what the good Lord surprised me with this morning. I went out to open the coops at 0630, and I wish I would have taken my camera! I opened the layers coop and I saw little yellow chickies running all over! hahaha .......

Remember all those broodies last week? Those 2 on the bottom (under the wall of nests) were determined. Sooooo - they are hatching! I took the Delaware and 11 chicks and moved them into a secure area. I left the Marans to see if she could hatch any more.

So adorable! Just the smile I needed this morning after hearing of all the bad news around. Prayers for your family and the people in Oklahoma.

Awe, love the broody momma pictures!!!!

Just learned today that Orr Family Farm in Moore was directly in the path of the tornado. They lost all but one barn, and 75-100 horses confirmed dead, more injured and in shock. The owner is a friend of a friend and used to be a Mission President in my church. Luckily it seems the family and all their employees were able to get to shelter in time.

Dang, we just had to catch our male alpaca out in an open field. I hyper extended my right elbow......

.........I think I need to go ice it. In the future "don't try to grab a running/jumping animal", but I didn't want him to get away and have one more chase!
Owie! Take it easy there cowgirl! Or should I say Alpacagirl.
Please Please Please pray for Oklahoma tonight.... today's tornado was massive and went right through Moore, Oklahoma about two hours from me. Took out two elementary schools during school hours. At least 7 students killed and about 2 dozen still missing. 51 deaths total so far untold numbers missing. A huge horse breeding farm is gone- 75-100 horses dead and many injured and going into shock. At least one BYCer has lost her home. We are in for more thunderstorms tonight but hopefully the tornado danger has passed.

You can see a few minutes of footage from the Moore tornado if I can do this embed thing right...

How horrible. Tornadoes scare the crap outta me. I'm sorry for everyone that has lost a loved one and for all the property lost. Who's the crazy person taking the video? I'd be running for cover FAST, not taking video!

I think it was a storm chaser from a news station. It was shared on a news station's FB page.

Thank you everyone. Her surgery went well. She will not be able to close her eyes for a few days but she is ok. what a tough little girl.
She has been through alot in her short life and I hope we will not have to do this much more.

Glad to hear she has come through well. My son had surgery on his eyes when he was two and I remember how I felt like it was yesterday.
