Look what I got today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He said the hen is a green winged scarlett. He said not one word about wanting anything back, only that she would lay at least two more eggs this week.

It's about the size of a large bantam egg.

I hope you are willing to feed every hour for a couple of weeks after that egg hatches ! Parrots are serious work.

Bresse are supposed to have the feet left on. I took the picture and then removed the feet.

The feet are left on to prove it is a Bresse.

Thanks for the entertainment.

All but 7 of my chickens went to Casa Grande yesterday.

What I have left.

A blue copper olive egger,
a PW Leghorn
a Barred Rock
a Delaware
a BBL Polish
a blue Polish and
a Rhode Island Red.

Our real estate agent said a few chickens may help sell the place since the coop and run are already there.

Can't believe I'm down to 7. I'll only have to feed and water every other day!... but I'll still need to gather eggs daily, even if it's only one... wouldn't want it to cook in this heat.

I'm still doing the mountain.

Friday evening I tripped and fell and on the left side of my left knee where the skin came away you could see BONE!

I pray it heals.

other than that, it's just drill, fill and bill and pray my wife can get the things off of the list in order to sell our old home. We put new carpet in one of the bedrooms and we get the new awnings for five windows tomorrow. DS#5 cleaned the coop and mowed all of the lawns at the old homestead this morning. We've got painting, window coverings, some simple kitchen remodeling, etc.. etc...

I'll be so happy when the old place has sold.
