Love it Kathy.
I went short - very short years ago.I was trying to cut my hair with a clipper and accidentally shaved part to the skin. Almost fainted - there was no way to comb over the long part so I went bald. My son practically disowned me I was such an embarassment. But I liked it. When you go short, your eyes become the focal point - at that time mine weren't all squinted up.
Eleven years later I still cut it short - more a buzz cut. It's great - it's never windblown, it never has 'hat hair," No split ends - , is dry by the time I step out of the shower, and reduces wind drag when I walk. Plus all the money I save on haircuts for limp, thin, straight hair that never ever kept a style.
Oh yes, you do get the cold neck, so I tend to wear mock turtle necked tops, or a neck gaiter, even in the house, and my ears get cold - so I wear an ear warmer. or a hoodie. I'm quite a sight in or out of the house. I still love it.
Wish I looked like that red headed model but, I am all gray (more white) and proud of it - earned ever one of those gray hairs. Used to tell people I dyed my hair gray because I was sick of being carded. Nobody fell for that line.
Welcome to the short side.
