Wrinkled eggs are not always a sign of IB, however, I'd never in a million years have sent an egg that looked like that to a customer. Good grief. Hardly a chance of it hatching anyway, even without the possiblity of the hen being infected. I would have torched the whole lot, too, Mary.

No, they can resume laying after the acute illness passes but often the eggs are wrinkled.

Anyway, my replacement CL's never got sent. Apparently they were "accidentally put in with someone else's order." Promised to be reshipped to arrive by tomorrow but I know that didn't likely happen. I am so over shipped eggs.

Sad news, I just read on the Icelandic thread that the' other Mary,' lost Forsaela to predator attack.

Oh no! I haven't checked that thread in a few days. Mary - those eggs are so nasty.

Wouldn't have attempted to hatch anything that looked like that, from my flock or anyone else's, either.
