Wrinkled eggs are not always a sign of IB, however, I'd never in a million years have sent an egg that looked like that to a customer. Good grief. Hardly a chance of it hatching anyway, even without the possiblity of the hen being infected. I would have torched the whole lot, too, Mary.

Crazy!

This is the picture of IB infected eggs from Merck manual. Too close for comfort for me. I know wrinkled eggs don't always = IB, but I am not willing to take that chance.

Anyway, my replacement CL's never got sent. Apparently they were "accidentally put in with someone else's order." Promised to be reshipped to arrive by tomorrow but I know that didn't likely happen. I am so over shipped eggs.

100% agreed!

Wouldn't have attempted to hatch anything that looked like that, from my flock or anyone else's, either.
