Stella's Social Club

What fun pictures!!! Happy Chooks (and anyone else interested), we have started a couple of threads to start the ball rolling on an SOP and a club for Cream Legbars. We could sure use any help we can get. We have Walt Leonard of the APA standards committee guiding us as we formulate an SOP. Here's the SOP page and here's the club page. Website should be up in the next week or two and we hope to be ready to accept new memberships by the last week of December or first part of January. Exciting stuff! We need to get all the CL people on board!
Why thank you so much for thinking of me, but I'm not breeding them. I got this girl because one of my broodies didn't hatch any eggs, and I didn't want her sitting for another 3 weeks. So Mary gave me this girl, along with a white legbar that turned out to be a male.

Condolences and sympathy to all those having to put down birds. It is such a hard thing to do. Luckily I have Michael who is willing to do the deed for me when it needs to be done. Never easy for anyone.

I better get out to the little yellow house and finish building my brooder before the rest of the eggs hatch!
Ditto.

X2, I can only imagine how good she looks in person.

She is much prettier in person - her lacing is gorgeous. I need to figure out how to photograph the lacing better.

Here is how I spent 3 hours this afternoon. Did I mention I HATE getting up on ladders and roof's? I was on both today, moving the netting around and "instructing" my 12 and 9 year old on where to zip tie it to the fence. After getting the bottom secured, I was able to get off the ladder and work on the top. Lots of cutting zip ties and stretching, but I think it looks pretty good now. It was a royal pain, but worth it if it better protects my flock. I'll get some hog ties that Mary recommended and finish it off.

Cute, cute...............what a rocker!
You must be it's mother.
