I was amazed one time while watching a guest on the Ina Garden show when she creamed the butter, sugar and eggs, then dropped the bowl, took off the beater and then tossed ALL of the rest of the ingredients in(dry ingredients were sifted). She said you do not have to do the "alternate stuff with mixers like this, it's silly" I about fell out of my chair![]()
It turns out she is absolutely correct.
