I always wondered on this? Didnt the Mayan's vanish? Maybe this was the day they stopped making it? Or more likely the person that was doing said. This is boring how much am I getting paid for this.
I mean a chicken a pig and 2 ears of corn. The guy down the road got a castle and a wife for making his version . I am done making .

Actually my understanding is this is the end of a cycle for the Myans, they set great importance to the beginning and ending of their calendar cycles. New era and all. The "long count" of the last recorded cycle ends on December 21st 2012. Hence the doomsday prophecies.

I'll just need a Friday afternoon feeding and a Saturday morning. I have a message out to a pet sitter on Craigslist. We also have some leads on young people who live here in the Ranchos. I just want to get it nailed down so I won't worry about it.

I'd be happy to do it for you.

The chicks are cute, I just have to remember what they look like when they feather out do whatever it is they do.

Are any of you in the NYD hatch? Dang, I am confused. I tried and tried to find the spreadsheet to guess how many eggs are set. I could not find a link to it anywhere. Wouldn't ya think it would be on the contest page? Maybe I am just blind.

I am in with 8 Cream Legbar eggs and I found the place to sign in but that was it. I won't be very active on the thread though.

Oh shoot.................I might have to BUY eggs. My son wants a German Chocolate cake for his birthday and I don't know if I have enough eggs for the cake and the frosting. It just won't be the same. My girls better kick it into gear!

Michel and I are actually going on an overnight trip to San Francisco on Dec 22-22nd. We'll leave Friday morning and stop in to see Michael's mom on our way down. It will be a short visit. We'll then proceed to SF and check into our hotel. That afternoon and evening we'll just sightsee. On Saturday we will go to the Cow Palace for Victorian Christmas celebrating the 200th birthday of Charles Dickens. 



There will be food, shopping, entertainment, and occasionally we will be accosted by street people. They will have (I think) 14 different "Victorian" neighborhoods all over the Cow Palace. I am excited. It sounds like fun. We haven't been out in a long time.

It is a lot of fun. I went when I was a little girl in costume even as help a few times. I made a great dirty urchin I never liked shoes anyway. Took dh last year was fun. We are going to a craft fair instead this weekend .

Ha. Yeah as people said its the end of an era. I think it should be a good thing I'm ready for change.
