Merry Christmas!

From Phoenix... we got up to 65 today, the pool is clean and pretty. Cookies are in the oven for us to go caroling to friends and neighbors. Most of the presents are wrapped... Santa just needs to do his thing once everyone is asleep.

We'll be having a HoneyBaked Ham for dinner with YukonGold potatoes, candied yams, salad and cooked veggies. There will be a warm fire set in the family room tomorrow... I just wish I had the week off to spend with the kids, but I've got patients scheduled Wednesday thru Saturday.

Y'all have a Merry Christmas!!

Just finished up one party and am now prepping for the next one. I hooked up with Molly this morning and picked up the beef tenderloins for tomorrow's dinner. Poor dear she had a lot to do today. The grocery store was a madhouse. 45 minutes to pick up party trays! Bakery was no better.

Glad you made it safe and sound Kelly. I have some bad news for you. I sent the blue Marans home with Sarah. I am so sorry but there was no way we or it was going to survive until you got home, We were still in the little yellow house after putting the sizzles in a cage for transport to their new home, and the cheeping was off the charts. So, I went back in and got it and put it in with it's buddies. I hope you understand. I would have lost my mind. Probably a boy anyway.

I have blue Isbars in the incubator.

I better get busy making cheesecake so I can go to bed at a decent hour. I was up late last night and up again early this morning. Jack was braying early for breakfast since it wasn't raining. He is quiet on rainy days but after two solid days in the shelter he started early.

Mahonri went chick shopping on Christmas Eve? What a hoot!

Merry Christmas everyone.
We signed on our house today. still waiting for the roof cert. Not sure if they made it out today or if it will be Wednesday.
I am ready for this to be done.
Basically if we get the cert. it funds and we move if not then it does not. either way this roller coaster is over soon.
I need me some chicken coops though as that will be the first thing I work on there.
3 or 4 coops. ( probably 2 to start with but I will leave the space for the others and make the runs.
Fence the surrounding area and our 1/2 acre garden area.
I am going to put up lots of blueberries fyi over 100 plants is the goal. Tons of veggies as well.

Good luck Jason. I sign on Wednesday and it is supposed to fund on Friday. Will you have the option to try a different roofing company if this first one won't certify it? Some of the roofing companies are brutal. I sure hope it all goes well. You have been at this a long time. I would be institutionalized by now if I were you. Sending positive vibes.

Kathy, that is a very kind and wonderful thing you are doing for others.

Jason and Mary, I hope both your house sales finalize.

Kelly, Enjoy you first white Christmas.

Here we have had some things completed or worked on the last couple of weeks. During the summer my wife said she was done canning and freezing fruits, berries, and vegetables. I thought she meant for this year. The new goat fence she ordered was installed last week:

It went right down the middle of my sad little vegetable garden, she also enclosed the 8 apple trees, 2 pear trees, black berries, and blue berry berries. All I can say is, well played

, well played!

Here is a picture of the goats using all of their extra space:

Oh wait, they still just stand at their barn near their hay.

Our addition was also worked on, some of the siding was put up before the weather turned bad (cold rain, snow):

The electrical was run the other week. One outlet is working and one of those fancy hanging lights, chandeliers is working. The DW is already talking about replacing the chandelier for some reason.

I think it has that wonderful Charlie Brown Christmas tree look.

Anyways, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
