Argh, my chicks.
Last night before going to bed, I had a sixth sense about my chicks in the basement. I went down to check on them in the Hovabator being used a temporary incubator. I had a small chick waterer in there with them. Somehow they managed to pull the paper towel out from the corner and it ended up in the waterer. The water had completely wicked out of the waterer and was in the bottom of the Hovabator. The chicks were in standing water and they were soaking wet! I grabbed them out and put them back into the Brinsea to dry off. I dumped the water out of the incubator and dried it with paper towels. I put fresh towels down and turned it back in for an hour to dry the styrofoam then returned the chicks to the Hovabator. This morning they all seemed fine. This afternoon I went down to get two of them with curled toes to put booties on them. One of those chicks has a bit of raspy breathing now. I was actually surprised they didn't all drown last night. Hopefully they will all be ok. It is always something!

What a pretty dog!
Here is my crew. The last one to hatch zipped all the way around and then died in the shell. But here are the rest of them including the two with foot/leg problems.
This little guy's foot is turned completely under and the leg is splayed.
Top secret project chicks.Wait ..... what kind are these chicks?
