Fun! We bought two packages for the first time last year. One stuck; the other abandoned the hive. I think we'll stick with splitting from our own hives even though it's slower. I think we have about 28 hives right now plus about 8 nucs.

Wow, that's a lot of hives!

I eventually would like to have another hive as well, but I've got to figure out how to keep them alive for an entire year first. No sense flushing more money than I have to.

It's quite calming in the bee suit. They fly around you, but you don't feel like they are buzzing your face.

Honey will be a ways off though! You might need to come take pictures for me.
