LOVE the video and the music!
All 15 chicks have been under broody mama for about 90 minutes.
I'm going back out to check on them again soon. I think putting them under just after dark is perfect as it gives them all night to get used to one another. Then I'll put the remaining eggs in the pet carrier, then the chicks, then the mama and I'll add a waterer and a little feeder and pray they stay together on the eggs in the back of the pet carrier. It's worked before, I hope it works for this broody. She is a Blue Copper Olive egger and when she started sitting on the golf balls she was large... 3 weeks on the nest and she has lost quite a bit of weight.
DS#1 turned 25 today. Dang I'm getting old.
