Stella's Social Club

My psycho Orp broody is off the nest now during the day. She is busy picking up food and clucking to her non-existent chicks. It's really quite entertaining, though pathetic at the same time. I guess she figured if she couldn't have any babies, she'd make up some.

Hmm. Derp the faverolles hen also had invisible chicks but, then Derp has always marched to the beat of a different drummer.
Some Hens and Pullets are bit odd; cute though. I am selling two Pita Pinta pullets and one EO Basque pullet to a co worker. The EO Basque pullet is three weeks younger than the Pita Pinta pullets( they are 8 and 5 weeks old) so I was worried about putting them together.

One of the Pita Pinta Pullets stopped and looked hard at the Basque pullet and decided it was her chick!

She started showing the littler Basque pullet where the food was and making that little mother hen noise at her "chick"

Thank goodness she did not decide that the chick was dinner....

We used to own this little cabin in the mountains. It was called a park model. The big room we added on. It is up at Lake Almanor. We sold it just before the real estate bust. Man were we lucky!

After I had the driveway asphalt installed.

That is beautiful! I love the winter pic too!

That would be funny, and rather interesting.
