I have a pretty strong constitution, hard to gross me out. Too many years of 9-1-1 work to get all a'twitter over Bad Things. I often forget others don't have the same ability to talk about autopsies or horrific injuries whilst eating a meal.... Oops.

"Behind the mike" (microphone) talk in the Comm Centers is very unfeeling. Motorcycles are "donor-cycles," road kill is often referred to as flat cats, possums pizza, and people struck by automobiles have been labeled "ped spread" more times than I can count. Delay in response due to lack of available units often results in discussions of "dissipating with traffic.". Deceased burn victims, well, they are "crispy critters."

If Delia had still been alive when I slung Sarge off her body, I would have been undone, though.

As it was, I briefly thought about practicing how to process her, but figured her body wouldn't bleed out properly, since she didn't have a beating heart any longer. How's that for being calloused?

Stupid frickin' turkey. I wish I wasn't so fond of him. I am far LESS fond of him now, for sure.

We were watching Master Chef or Hell's Kitchen, can't remember which, and they had to make fish tacos for surfers. DH said, "Fish tacos?? Yuck". He had never heard of them. Not a southern dish. I'd try them, but never had one. Never saw one, actually. Never been anywhere they were offered that I recall.
