Kelly how did the ice cream come out?

Are my animals ok? Not worried.

Tucker and I walked on the beach for two hours this morning. He met someone. her name is Coco. We made arrangements to meet again this afternoon.:lol:

It said it had to be completely cool before putting it in the ice cream maker. So I'm finishing it off today.

Animals are fine - see next post.

Lessons on Day #1 of caring for Mary's animals

Lesson #1 - Most important lesson of the day! Feed emus first. It's difficult to get the feed into goat feeder while hungry emu's have their head in the feed bucket. They are also not opposed to grabbing it out of your hand, which doesn't feel so good when they get your finger instead. They didn't seem to mind in the least.

Lesson #2 - apparently a certain goat is "too good" to eat out of the goat feeder. It tastes better when you get on your hind feet and eat out of the emu feeder. And one of them fainted when I walked up. I guess I'm scary.

Lesson #3 - I can outrun the security sprinkler for the deer.

(hopefully Mary did not set up the time lapse camera) I remembered on the way over to feed the animals, but forgot on the way back. Scared the crud outta me though.

Lesson #4 - There is no hiding from Jack, the guard donkey. Although it is quite funny to hear him braying when we parked. Diana did look perturbed when I poured too many oats in her bucket and had to pull some back out. She got her nose in there quickly to try to stop me. Gotta remember to bring some carrots tomorrow.

Awesome Kelly! Thanks. But you got your candy and Starbucks card? Not that they will make it worth your trouble but....

Yes, I got all my junk food. And the Starbuck's card was not necessary. The candy corn M&M's taste funny, the kids like them. And they have laid claim to the pumpkin pop tarts. Ice cream is in the maker now, that's dessert tonight.

Yummy Kathy. I'm making pancakes tonight, we have limited time before we have to be to scouts. Plus, I forgot to take something out. Plus, I try not to cook anything elaborate when DH is out of town.
