I love the back-up camera because I have to back down the driveway and back into the circle driveway then go forward to get out. We have a dip in one end of the circle drive and my bumper drags so I always have to to the back-up and turn around thing. And there's a metal pole sticking up where prior owners had a basketball hoop. I hate steering around that thing! It needs to come down but it is buried deep in concrete.

My new van has one of those back up cameras, too. I wish it were more accurate though.

I should have known that!

Soup sounds like a great idea! We started out at 9* this morning, but we have just doubled it (18*). It is sunny, so that is nice change! It is supposed to warm up tomorrow with highs to near 40. I'll take it - especially if it will melt this white stuff off the ground. I need to get the leaves that just fell off the trees last weekend raked. The cold front seems to be dipping pretty far south right now. Yuck! I don't mind winter, but it lasts all together too long!

+1 -in fact, I had that for supper. We are dropping into the teens tonight here in the N. Ga. mtns. The winds are howling at 30-40 mph. Leaves are making walking here treacherous so when they are mostly all off (and it's close), then we'll have to rake and chop and whatever we can do to get them off the paths we walk to the coops. No more broken bones, please!

Amen to the broken bones. Yr. before this I did that. Yikes has it ever given me grief. It was my right wrist. Naturally I am right handed.

i already posted this in the NorCal thread, so pardon the overlap, but i thought there might be interest here too:
i found my first isbar/marans cross egg today! see if you can pick it out in the lineup below:

that's campine on the left, the two Amelias (CL x penedesenca) next, then the isbar/marans, then a marans on the right. wonderfully dark olive!

and interesting re: the Amelias, i had them in separate pens for a couple of days, and the one who looks more CL-like (light-colored neck/hackle feathers) has the almost-blue egg, and the one who looks more penedesenca-like (darker neck/hackle) has the olive-y egg. but the isbar/marans beats them both (although admittedly it's her first egg ever, so might get lighter over time)!
