Are you west coasters getting any chilly weather?
BRRRR - it is only 23 here right now!

I think I will make some soup today.
No we're stuck in a 50's to 60's during the day and 40's at night pattern. I am hoping for some snow this year!

Oh and rain rain rain of course. But we did have a sunny day yesterday! The mold is starting already in the metal shed coop...going to have to keep that scraped off/bleached out. We live in fog here in the mornings.

23 here too - got the heaters under the waterers just in the nick of time. Have around an inch of white stuff as well - not a chicken to be seen outside so far. The wind is blowing from the north, 3 freighters anchored offshore until the wind goes down a little, wouldn't love to be out there this time of the year.

Nope. We got one rain storm so far with a cold spell that lasted for a few days. We've been in the low to mid 70's.

I have never heard of doggie car seats. They look so comfortable that it makes me want to sit in one too- thanks for the link KathyinMO.
Well then, don't look up doggie strollers. I'd rather see someone with a doggie car seat, than see them trying to drive with a dog on their lap.

BTW Mary, you buy a doggie stroller and I will have to smack you.

I have a honda crv. I love it and its carring capacity. It has allwheel drive and goes all over my slanted hillside if you know how to drive.

Speckled hen we have electric heat too. We use the wood heater almost constantly. I love the solid warmth it gives and if the power is off I can cook on it just fine.
With my crv I take boards 8 ft. long inbetween the seats by putting down the back seat. It has 70,000 miles and no trouble at all. I am expecting it to go another 100,00 easy. We take good care of it.
As you get older the higher steps getting in a suv of regular highth is too tall to get in unless you have long good legs. Or can climb. Painfull joints complete the picture. Like I said the crv from Honda is perfect for me.
The weather here is a-changing. We are expecting a cold blast of the high being in the low 30,s tomorrow .Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.We have been having up to 68 in my little protected cove here with 40 to 50 degree nights. Nice and pleasant for Nov.
The car is pretty. I like the dk blue color. I have silver and never again. It shows every spot of everthing and is hard to spot in a parking lot. I really like a red of some sort with light interior. This time my hb picked the sliver with dk interior and frankly I don't like that color but am stuck with it. It runs wonderful though.
Kathy those GNH are laying like gangbusters. Wow! They are keeping up with my little Norweigon Jaerhons. The eggs are bigger from the GNH already.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Quote: Soup sounds like a great idea! We started out at 9* this morning, but we have just doubled it (18*). It is sunny, so that is nice change! It is supposed to warm up tomorrow with highs to near 40. I'll take it - especially if it will melt this white stuff off the ground. I need to get the leaves that just fell off the trees last weekend raked. The cold front seems to be dipping pretty far south right now. Yuck! I don't mind winter, but it lasts all together too long!

What I dislike about my new minivan is that it has so many computers in it. I hate that. I wish I could roll my window up and down manually, etc..... I do not like computerized stuff.

Those New Hamps are great layers, for sure! Really really great layers!

Still in the 70's here but drops down to the 50's at night. BUT I HAVE HEAT!

That is lasts!

Michael has the Jeep for towing his boat. I don't like driving it. The steering is scary to me. I was so used to the Prius that I worried about driving the Jeep.

The Lincoln feels really good to drive. I love the back-up camera because I have to back down the driveway and back into the circle driveway then go forward to get out. We have a dip in one end of the circle drive and my bumper drags so I always have to to the back-up and turn around thing. And there's a metal pole sticking up where prior owners had a basketball hoop. I hate steering around that thing! It needs to come down but it is buried deep in concrete. I need to ram that thing with the Polaris a time or two. Kelly knows all about that pole! She navigated around it for days picking up wood.

I have only had one car in my life that I really loved enough to drive forever and that was my Grand Prix that I bought new when they were re-introduced. Mine looked brand new even though I had had it a few years. Then I met Michael. Bye-Bye Grand Prix.

So far the Lincoln is giving the grand Prix a run for its money. It has a THX sound system and you should hear Michael Buble crooning Quando. Quando, Quando out the sunroof!

Tucker has a car seat in both cars now. The top one is a little too small. I may get another of the bigger one.

I like the Honda because it does not have too much tech. to learn. Gee Whiz at my age and health the clock is about as far as I need in a car. I personally wish they would offer a simple dashboard for us that do not like a lot of new tech. things.

Why is there nothing simple anymore.?

I like a phone with the camera but forget the rest as far as I am concerned. Even the camera does not get used enough to make it worth while. Just a really good phone with good pickup of signal and good clear sound is all I desire. Those things are hard to find.
I guess I must be older than my years but sheesh! you would think Verizon would remember their older clientele.
