Stella's Social Club

Mary - First off, it's great to see Stella again! I miss her adventures! I love, love, love that blue boy! The little mottled one is beautiful too. (I need age to sex, too hard to determine size by pictures) You have some beautiful pullets also. The pullet with the silver around her neck is really pretty - haven't seen that in Icelandics until now.

Cyn - Happy Birthday! So sorry you lost Indy.

Isaac isn't very appreciative of the young whipper snappers.

Cyn, so sorry. Hopefully the other combinations work better. I have been very lucky in the aggressive rooster department. I better do this:

Lynda, all chickens are beautiful. Well, maybe not all of them.

Stella seems pretty content. Haven't observed her glancing skyward for netting defects large enough to get through. Yesterday while I was taking photos the gate opened behind me and stayed open. She would have been out of that in a heartbeat before. This time she just stayed with her buddies. I have no idea how old she is. She was full grown and laying when she hopped the fence over five years ago. I think she likes a warm coop, plentiful supply of food and good friends. I am not going to test that theory and leave the gate open again though. I love her too much to see her ripped up by a hawk.

Seems like everyone likes the blue boy over the orange one. Hmmm.
I like the orange one better.

But the blue one is stunning as well!

Some of them look like they have some Blue Andalusian lacing to them...I mean almost look like Blue Andalusians with the feather color lacing. I am partial to Blue Anadalusians- I have two hens of that breed.
