I started the series with the Hobbit again--I have not read them in many years but have read the series at least three times each.
Happy Chooks re: The Hobbit. The Hobbit and the rest of the stories go much better if you overlook the elvish poems, letters, what not and skip the maps. Just read the parts that are in English and you'll be able to enjoy the story.
