The snow pics are beautiful!

Good luck with the recipe Kathy. Report back, with pics!

Kelly, do you still have lemons? I just made these Meyer Lemon Poppy Seed Scones. Yum.

Why, yes I do! YUMMY! I'm all over those!

Beautiful snow pictures.

I'm loving the rain, but we have had a lot of it in the past few days. Great for the reservoirs and lakes, not so great for getting it to soak into the ground. My muck boots are working great, I squish into the muck, but don't slide and don't get my feet wet!

I'm on a hill, so if you slide, you are going all the way down. Looks like we are getting a break from it tomorrow.

Linda - your stories always crack me up. And yes, I know about that denuded ground.

Linda, nice to know things have not changed at your place

One of the reasons soaking beans is a good idea is that is soaks out the complex sugars called oligosaccharides - they are responsible for bean's gas-producing effects. Soaking them overnight in cool water greatly reduces their gas generation potential.

A little visual of the amount of rain we have gotten. My neighbor's pond on the 5th: Notice the stick on the bank.

Then yesterday:

And this morning!

Great, funny story Linda.

Looks like some of you had plenty of rain for a little while.

We had our first kids of 2014 last night. Three bucklings and one doeling. Not a great picture, but I like how pleased the mom looks.
