[The Sheriff]

I took a walk around the yard today, and I HAD to see if broody mama hatched yet. I don't even know when she is due, but she is on 8 New Hampshire eggs. Anyway, one egg hatched and one is pipped.

Tony Turkey has laid about 6-8 eggs and is now broody, I guess. She has been on nest for the last 2 days. I have no male turkey. She is sitting on chicken eggs. (Mike has not gathered eggs for 4 days, so the nests are full of eggs!)

And, Wheaten Ameraucana 1 is broody, which is round #1 for her this year. I expect at least 3 broods from her.

Beautiful day here today - 73 right now.

Wow 73 is nice! Glad you are feeling up to enjoying it. Love to see pics of Tony with her chicks when they hatch!

I went back out..... yes, Tony Turkey is broody. She was not happy that I bothered her, either. I also have another broody Delaware. I looked at the broody hatching and saw 2 chicks so far.

OMG Kathy that is hilarious! I just locked down 10 Icelandics from eBay, four Wellies and a Barred Rock from Kelly! No losses in the incubator except for two bloodrings on the first day of candling.

My BR still has not laid another egg since that one. (aside from a couple of fart eggs) Looks like that may be her last egg.
