Stella's Social Club

Thanks, when I posted I realized I hadn't made an official check back in on this thread. I've only been home since last Sunday and still trying to settle in. DH did a good job in my absence, but there is still that five months of dust and dog hair in the corners and along the baseboards, LOL. Also this week when the weather warms up and dries out, it's time to sort birds, check everyone over, worm, etc. NOT a task I'm looking forward to.

Here are a couple of photos I shared that I took in my travels, I mostly photographed birds.

In New Zealand.
A Gannet at the Muriwai Colony.

Black Swan, they are EVERYWHERE. They mug you in the parks for bread, just like geese here that have been dumped.

Pukeko, they consider them pests, but I LOVED them and would have brought home a pair if I could get away with it.

This was a Red-Legged Partridge taken in the back garden of the flat I was staying in in England. I was hanging out the bathroom window with a 400mm telephoto lens in hand, LOL.

Mary,
Did you like that "Ina Fridays Crunchy Noodle Salad?"

I have been craving some recipe with cold pasta (I love spaghetti or angel hair noodles). I am looking for a recipe.

Today we had our garden spot tilled.

I hope I am able to work in it.

Baby chicks came outside with mama.....

I really should name this girl, because I like her.....

We are off to Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company, in Mansfield, MO tomorrow. It is an hour and a half away. Hope it is a nice day. We were gonna go there one other time, and did not make it, so I am excited to go.

The garden is off to a great start, with lots of help. I hope you enjoy your trip today!

We had boiled peel and eat shrimp and oysters for dinner last night - neither which I would have touched growing up.

Nice when the chickens help till the garden
Yummy!

I had shrimp last night too! Costco had HUGE shrimp for sale when I was there on Friday. I breaded them with panko and fried them. I was leaning towards garlic scampi, but DH wanted fried. I ate three and thought I would die, LOL

For breakfast this morning, I'm trying a recipe I cut out of the paper. You just use refrigerator crescent rolls for the dough, add a cream cheese mixture middle and some jam, then a drizzle of glaze. Cheese Danish in about fifteen minutes. What could be easier?
Those are huge, or do you have rather small hands?

Saltine crackers and coffee for me.

No picture? I bet it would look good.

Enjoyed everyones photos and video, I can use the chick video to drive the dogs crazy.
