WOW!

thats a lot of chicks hatching. I have three broodies here but I do not want to hatch anymore as of yet. That is unless someone has the american buff orps that are not hatchery, or a buff orp with only a little english in them. I have 4 dells already hatched out.

Well, I have another repeat broody in the D'Anver coop. My head hen, Carly, wants to do it again and keeps sitting on Sissy's eggs. Poor Sissy can't get to her eggs for Carly, Penny, Mina and Maura wanting to be in there, too. They are due in a week so I'm hoping that Carly and Sissy will co-mother the four chicks (that is, if all four hatch-they are all D'anvers) because there may be more repeaters or even Jenny, who has never been broody, may decide to try it herself. I don't need another chick here, I swear.

I don't know who to get Buff Orps from, Gloria Jean.

I just took out 10 more chicks and gave them to the last 2 Delawares on nests. Hopefully, I have all the sitting broodies off of nests now and they have chicks. Well, except for the Barred Rocks and the 3 in Toni Turkey's group. They can hatch what they have..... which I have no idea what they have! Oh yeah, and my Wheaten Ameraucana girl - she is still sitting too.

I think they are trying to increase your flock size again! Those BR girls are so gorgeous. (my BR from you is also broody) So many great looking momma hens.

I've seen those chicken ornaments around and they are pricy. DH got this one from a sidestreet vendor in our area, so I have no clue how much it was. It looks bigger in the picture than it really is. They hang out by the freeway, trying to get the travelers to stop.
