Wow Cyn, your corn is already up! I just love seeing everyone's gardens. That oregano is so pretty, I've never heard of that variety.

My garden is finished planting, now I just need to keep up with the weeds.

I need to get some pictures of mine too. I mostly planted started plants, as my step dads family owns a nursery and I get a heck of a deal.

Green beans, chard and herbs are seeded. Oh and okra, when I plant it, but strange..........none made it to the garden this year.

Oh I love to garden. This year I am doing a garden project with 4-H. And a chicken one. lol

I REALLY REALLY REALLY don't want to check my coop. I had *gulp* 4 hens on the nest last night.

I just got my first broody hen a couple days ago. I also don't have a roo. So I put some duck eggs under her! I also don't need any more ducks.....

I see them, too.

Hey, I just made a long, pictorial blog post all about the gardens this year. I think I did okay on most of the pictures, even with my crappy camera. Check it out, guys. I'd post here, but now, I'm exhausted after going out to take all the pics, edit them and write the long post, lol.

It looks like the gardens are at least off to a good start.

We'll see. They are pretty gross. No matter how clean you keep their area, they are still dirty. Processing 23 was certainly a lot. We are going in with a friend on a plucker, so that may make it a lot easier to process. (or I'll get some help for the processing part from other family members)
What brand of plucker are you getting? I am thinking of getting one.

hi and this is going to be a long 2 days 5 cayugas and 10 pekins ducks are coming thursday i hope they dont screw breeds up

ill know they wont care there from a feed store

My game hen is determinedly broody again. She has help from the other hens protecting her eggs. Today I saw her chase a squirrel away! She screamed and pecked at it and started chasing it off the chicken area. I am so proud of her, finally some sense!

Those gardens look so verdant - the crocuses are just finishing up and the daffodils have yet to bloom here. I am considering moving my raised beds to a completely new area and reclaiming their current location in the back yard to grass. And there are big plans for a shady area and my huge hostas out front, they must be divided this year and I could have a big shade garden right off the screened in porch.

Quote: I'm not sure yet. I'm looking at them and comparing. I'm interested in the EZ Plucker, but I don't know the differences between the models.

Our seasons are so different from yours, it makes it interesting. When we are in the super hot of summer, you'll be nice and cool.
