Oh, Oh forgot to give a coop moisture report. Rained hard yesterday then froze hard last night. The four little coops were dripping like crazy with condensation. Coop #3 with it's new reflective ceiling insulation just had a bit of dew in a couple of spots. Nothing dripping. I'm sure it has evaporated by now. I'll peel some back here shortly and look for condensation on the metal.

Ok, I am back in and it's a little disappointing. Their was still some condensation on the metal roof when I peeled back the barrier.

Not as bad as usual but still there. I am worried about mold if there is moisture in that space. Any ideas on where to go from here? More ventilation? What about laying the non-backed pink fiberglass insulation in the space between the barrier and the metal roof? Without the paper on it it might not be too heavy and pull the barrier down?

Tucker looks like he's having a great Christmas. Rosie sounded like a wonderful dog. I understand the heartbreak of losing them, I went a year after my first dog (a bassett hound) died before I got Shadow. (my german shepherd) She's a fantastic dog and she is my buddy, and great with my kids.

You know how dogs will go around the house whining when they have a bone they are trying to hide? Well, we heard Tucker crying tonight. He showed up in Michael's room with a gingerbread cookie that had fallen off the Christmas tree yesterday. He worked for ten minutes hiding it in the music cords under Michael's desk. It was so sweet. My heart melted.

So cute! Is Tucker wearing his Christmas vest? (no monkeys)

Merry Christmas everyone!

His was wearing out again and I couldn't get it to stay adjusted. He would wake up and hobble into the hallway in the morning with both legs in one opening!

We went to the pet store and they only had the tiny one. I thought it might be discontinued

but we found them online and ordered two! We settled on the red one for the holidays until the monkey vest gets here!

Hunny, as Winnie the Pooh would say, so yummy in his tummy. Way back in the 70's a friend gave me honey from her farm in West Virginia. She said it was a "locus" year.

That was the best honey I've ever had in my life. Looking back, I am shocked to realize that ice cream , apart from chocolate malteds, didn't even register in my life. I was skinny as a rail and stayed that way till my pregnancy a decade later.
