My visitor from last night just returned with her husband and picked up the car. They are going to park it at the grocery store temporarily. She was more lucid today, but her husband says she will not be driving anymore. That is good. She gave me a beautiful orchid as a thank-you gift.  She also offered to take care of our animals if we want to go away, but I don't think we'll take her up on the offer. I am relieved that she is home safe and sound with what appears to be a kind, caring spouse.

I'm glad she has someone to look after her.

Turkey and ham leftovers here. I'm tired, but fine. Now to get ready for New Years.

Nope thats a carved egg.  Black emu eggs have three color layers .....  as you dremel off layers you come to white....  AND if you can get a light behind they will glow like stained glass. 

There are a couple of tools you can use for this a dremel arrangement or dental drill.  I have seen some amazing stuff on the internet....  Look up Egg carving.    From ostrich all the way down to quail.

Oh no! I have heard of that happening without any harm to the chickens. On the upside, they are pooping insulation!

Christmas dinner was ham.... a very good one

Tonight I made split pea soup for dinner with diced ham.... first time.... Oh my goodness why didnt I try this before....
