Why was the line so long? Lines here aren't nearly that long even at the holidays. Or did you have fifty packages to mail?

You don't live in Auburn.

They don't open until 10:00 and close early. Line with at least fifty people in it and one counter open. The second person on duty was walking down the line with a clipboard asking why we each of us was there. The self mailing center was out of order and there was no one to man the PO Box window.

The one I go to is in Culberson, NC, the closest to me. They are open 5 days a week from noon until 4 p.m.. Never a line; well, maybe on occasion, one person. The one in Blue Mineral Bluff and the one in Blue Ridge, the next town over, rarely have more than 3 people in line. Gosh, I just don't do lines so I guess I'd never mail anything. I walk out on long lines no matter where they are. Poor Mary, living around all those people.
