That is Susan, second from the oldest and the self-proclaimed prettiest one and Daddy's favorite. Just ask her, she'll still say it.

I had to look that one up. I guess I've been making it, but with pulled pork (smoked Boston butt).

We had BBQ ribs today. It was almost 70, sunny, and the sky was blue.

Yep, pulled pork but with salsa verde salsa, oregano, cumin and coriander. Broth and onions too. When you get a whole hog every year, you get creative on different ways to use it up!

Yum..... I love anything with Strawberries.... we just planted 4 large raised beds with strawberries in our front yard- can't wait for them to get established! 50 plants each in 4 varieties. Seems like a lot- but I promise they will barely keep up with me and my kids' love for strawberries!

That's awesome! You can never have too many strawberries. In my blog post about the cake, I say my favorite way to eat them is over the sink with juice all over my face. We had a house a few years ago that was two doors away from a large strawberry patch.They had a stand on the corner and I would walk down and buy just-picked berries. They were so good, not at all like the tasteless grocery store strawberries.

When I lived downstate there were several u-pick strawberry farms nearby, nothing like the taste of a sun-warmed ripe strawberry. And they make the best freezer jam in the world.
