Oh, for petes sakes come to NC buy the 29 acres next to me with two fishing ponds and ducks. Get rid of the occupant from the valley and then and you and my other neighbors will be happy. Well we finally got the long anticipated offer on this house last night, a full $100,000.00 below the asking price along with a sexist message from the buyer about me being "hurt" and pricing my house by it's "perceived value based on emotion." OMG! That set off an entire night of back and forth volleys fired by the realtors. They also included a "personal" letter to me about why I should accept their offer and let this become their forever home. The letter was addressed to "Mrs. King!" Are you kidding me. Here is my realtor's reply to the "personal" letter:

Thank you for your time and effort, but the seller is not interested in working with your buyer. And by the way, the seller’s name is not KING, it is O’Brien, which leads us to believe that they are submitting offers all over and hoping to find someone desperate or plain stupid.

And it all just got worse from that point!

The gall of those people. At least your realtor had the right reply. I am choked up - just can't think of a reply that would be fit to print.

They are trolling, Mary - best thing to do with trolls is ignore them. And good for four Realtor!

Oh no, they can afford it. Their realtor says his income is "astronomical" and they can afford much more without even selling their current home. Their realtor told them that I was not going to accept an offer like that. His reply was, "Oh yes she will. I get everything I want." Realtor says he is a spoiled only child.

The realtor said he based his valuation of the property significantly below the asking price because "He is an engineer and has done extensive research on soils, geography, and the reports provided. He feels this is a fair price for the property."

By the end of the night, my realtor had theirs on the phone for a 58 minute call during which all the other agent did was cry uncontrollably and apologize.
