So..........did they accept your counter offer?

Still waiting to hear...their realtor was pushing all day for us to answer their new offer, now we are waiting. I couldn't sign while on the road because I couldn't read the whole document on Michael's phone. I signed as soon as I got home.

They wanted both of my refrigerators and the freezer, the riding mower, all the livestock equipment, and our utility trailer. We countered that they could have the livestock equipment and the riding mower. I paid three grand for the refrigerator and we specifically stated in the listing that it wasn't included. They have a horse and are getting their daughter a pony. That is why they wanted the feeders and portable pen fencing.

Buyers are giving up on the refrigerators and freezer but countered with us paying more of the closing costs. My agent wants to find out the amount from the title company, but I think I will accept the offer. We were anticipating paying more of the closing costs because the loan is VA. I guess we'll wrap this up tomorrow.

One more step closer to being my neighbor.

According to their agent, they will be using all the money they have with the current offer. Someone is gifting them a refrigerator. If money really is that tight I am worried that the deal will not even go through at the end! I am going to have my agent clarify before I sign. Off to feed animals. Will keep you posted.

I think they asked for the refrigerators for "wiggle room," - they could give it up to have the horse stuff.
