I had a ten year old give me a seminar on Angry Birds one time, it was very instructive. He was quite the player.

Yep! And he will specifically tell you this is Angry Birds in Space version. Hence the black background and stars.

This was what he requested, I think I nailed it pretty good. Phew no "Pinterest fail" award for me this time!!

Nope no icky stuff- red velvet with homemade buttercream icing!

I made a Butterfinger Cake as well since I didn't think there would be quite enough of the Angry Birds cake for the whole family- and it was good that I did!

I used to decorate cakes when my kids were younger. Hated it! People started ordering cakes from me and I felt intense pressure to get those cakes just right. I also hated the mess. Good grief, my kitchen always looked like a rainbow exploded all over the place. I took classes, learned how to make flowers and fondant decorations. I always felt my writing wrecked the cake. Could never get it straight. So I stopped cake decorating, cold turkey! No more orders except my kids. I admire people who do it and do it well. It's not easy. I always decorated after hubby and kids went to bed. I needed the peace and quiet.

You go Rinda. I'll be piping frosting on cupcakes. That how I roll now!
